Lincoln Lutheran exists to equip young people to be faithful disciples of Christ by providing an excellent, Christ-centered education

...How you can help

Ms. Katie Bockelman

Katie Bockelman began teaching at Lincoln Lutheran in January of 1994. In addition to teaching social studies classes, she is the journalism adviser and an assistant coach for the high school girls’ soccer team.

Miss Bockelman grew up in Des Moines, IA and has an older brother and a younger brother. Both of her parents were also Lutheran schoolteachers. She went to college at Concordia in Seward. She has a 15 year-old son named Isaiah, who attends Lincoln Lutheran. She loves visits with her nephew and niece in Missouri, spending time with her family, and watching her son’s sporting events.

Miss Bockelman’s favorite part of teaching at Lincoln Lutheran Middle/High School is being in an environment where teachers work to keep Christ at the center of everything they do. She also loves the relationships she is able to build with her students in class and through various other activities. She has had many funny moments here as a teacher and coach, many of them have occurred during van rides to soccer games.
