Our mission...

Lincoln Lutheran exists to equip young people to be faithful disciples of Christ by providing an excellent, Christ-centered education

...How you can help

Mr. Lloyd Sommerer

Lloyd Sommerer began teaching at Lincoln Lutheran in 2001. He graduated from college at Concordia, Seward with degrees in education and computer science. His first teaching position was in Washington D.C. where he taught seventh and eighth graders.

Mr. Sommerer grew up on a small farm in Missouri where his family grew tobacco and had beef cattle. His family now consists of his wife Lauren and two cats. One of the cats is dumb and the other is mean.

He came to Lincoln Lutheran because Mrs. Pester, a former Lincoln Lutheran middle school teacher, told him that Lincoln Lutheran was looking for a math teacher. Everything he was teaching in D.C. was the same thing at Lincoln Lutheran, even one of the same books. He believes that it is a God thing that he is here today.

His favorite part of teaching at Lincoln Lutheran is that he gets to do a lot of different things and there are some really neat students. Besides teaching, he also is the technology coordinator and the Fantasy Baseball Commissioner, which he considers his most important role. In his free time he reads books, works on websites, and plays video games.
