Mrs. Laura Stumpf

Laura Stumpf and her family are new to the Lincoln community as of July 2014.  They are most recently from the Indianapolis suburbs, and moved to Lincoln when her husband Andy accepted a Call to serve at Christ Lutheran as a DCE.  Their family also includes their three kids: Ethan, Emma, and Noah.

Laura grew up primarily in Boulder, Colorado, and Norman, Oklahoma, prior to attending the University of Arizona where she graduated with a BS in Elementary Education.  In May 2016 she completed her Masters Degree from Concordia University Nebraska in Literacy. She has taught from fourth to eighth grades in both public and Lutheran schools, but her passion is teaching writing to middle school students.  She loves the ability to merge faith and teaching, and is blessed to be working in that setting at Lincoln Lutheran.  Laura is also involved in the LCMS National Youth Gathering, serving on the planning team for the past three gatherings, and is blessed to be part of the planning process again for the 2019 Gathering in Minneapolis.  Traveling is one of Laura's favorite ways to spend days out of school, especially to see family members who all live out of state.  She needs to visit only Alaska and Delaware to complete her journey through all 50 states!  Laura also loves reading, hiking, and Shutterfly scrap books.
