High School Girls Golf

The Lincoln Lutheran Girls Golf team is excited about their third season! In just two years, they have gone from a team that had never played competitively to a state-qualifying team. They were first in every meet last year except one. They played exceptionally well in the state tournament despite the two days of pouring rain and cold temperatures. Amy Swearer, as a freshman, finished sixteenth as an individual. Katelin Brennan and Amy Swearer are returning Varsity starters. Shelby Backus, Nakita Dolezal, Samantha Erks, Alicia Smith and Elke Stahr are also returning for their second season.

The Warriors will be led by a new Varsity coach, Margaret Ingerslew. She is a Lincoln Lutheran graduate and a successful Concordia University golfer. Former coach, Sarah Schmidt will volunteer but has chosen to spend more time with her two toddlers. We look forward to even higher goals to be achieved in the 2007 season. Please remember that spectators are always welcome and the Lincoln Lutheran family support is always appreciated!
