Our mission...

Lincoln Lutheran exists to equip young people to be faithful disciples of Christ Jesus by providing an excellent, Christ-centered education

...How you can help

Instrumental Music

The Lincoln Lutheran Music Program is a successful, growing part of the community here at Lincoln Lutheran. Many students are involved with choir, band or strings. These musical groups are a very visible part of this school performing at sporting events, concerts and local churches. These are wonderful ways to witness to God and carry his Word to our community. Our students have developed a reputation as great young Christians who achieve excellence in music.

Many students audition and are accepted to many different honor groups including the NCC Honor Band, All State, Wesleyan, Winter Winds and many other groups. The individual achievements of our students are a wonderful example of the many gifts we have received through God here at Lincoln Lutheran.

The Music Department at Lincoln Lutheran exists to create music to the glory of God and to help prepare our students for a lifetime of service to the Lord. We believe that music is an integral part of a complete education for any student, and we strive to educate all students about the many and various aspects of this art form. God has given each of us different talents and abilities, and it is our goal to help students discover and develop those talents, both musical and non-musical, that they may use them to the fullest extent for God’s glory.

Instrumental Music

The Marching Band and Pep Band are ensembles made up from students in the Symphonic Band. The Marching Band performs at all home football games and the Links Marching Contest at Lincoln High. The Marching Band impressed many onlookers last year at the contest with their big full sound and received an Excellent rating. This year’s looks to be another one full of excitement and fun. The pep band plays at all home Volleyball and Basketball games. These students provide a truly special atmosphere to our home games.

The Gold Band made up of entirely eight graders this year and will be the top middle school band at Lincoln Lutheran. These students will work toward refining their skills to both perform at a high level but also prepare them for the next challenge in Symphonic Band. They will also be working on intermediate instrumental music techniques and further their general music knowledge. This group performs at concerts throughout the year.

The Blue Band will be made up entirely of seventh graders and will seek to build on the basic skills learned in fifth and sixth grade. These students will also focus on performance practice and strengthen the fundamental skills necessary for instrumental music. In this band we will continue to build the necessary skills and knowledge base needed for a high level of performance and musicianship. This group performs at concerts throughout the year.

The Sixth Grade Band is one of the important groups here a Lincoln Lutheran. It is in these groups that students learn the fundamental techniques need to for advanced instrumental music performance. These classes are dedicated to supporting and nurturing musicianship for a lifetime of music making. These groups perform at concerts throughout the year.
