Music Parent Planning Meeting

All parents of students in band or choir are invited to attend a planning/informational meeting on Tuesday, September 24th at 7:00 in the music room. Mr. Werner and Ms. Bartelt will be discussing the fall concert, fundraising opportunities, and future plans for the music department.

Warriors Family Call to Action Advances

A few months ago, we told you about LB 670. This bill titled the “Opportunity Scholarships Act” would create a 100% state income tax credit for donations to scholarship granting organizations. The state would provide $10 million in total income tax credits, with the amount of the tax credits available increasing every year if 95% of the income tax credit cap is reached. Please see the attached press release as the bill advances from committee.

2019 Lincoln Lutheran Spelling Bee

Congratulations to Avery Wieting, 7th grade, for winning the Lincoln Lutheran Middle School Spelling Bee on Monday (1/28)!  Avery will go on to represent Lincoln Lutheran at the Lancaster County Bee on February 12th.

JV Football Cancelled

TODAY'S JV Football game against Lincoln Christian has been canceled due to low numbers for Lincoln Christian.

Cross Country Results 9/19

The Lincoln Lutheran Cross-Country Team competed Thursday September 19, 2019 in Geneva at the Fillmore Central Invite, Alayna Bergt finished a strong 23rd place in the Girls Varsity race with a personal best (PR) time of 24:36. The other girls race finishers were Chloe Waldo, 26:34, Kayla Steinbauer, 27:01, and Elsa Meyer, 32:55. The boys’ results were, Tanner Lebo, 19:50, Brady Franzen, 20:37, PR, Ben Blankenbiller, 21:57, Matthew Wing, 22:31, Dylan Christensen, 23:01, Bo Claridge, 22:48 PR, Jack Tewes, 25:03, and Quan Nguyen finished his first ever 5K in 30:03.

Parent-Teacher Conference Sign up!

Parent-Teacher conferences are scheduled for September 26 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The sign up for PT Conferences will be done online. You may access it by clicking HERE.  Note: 6TH GRADE PARENTS,  you will ONLY sign up with your student's homeroom (1st Block) teacher - there aren't enough slots for you to meet with both.

E-Cigarette Information

In the past week there have been a number of national news stories concerning deaths due to E-Cigarette usage and there very quick growing use among today's youth. During our Before School Year Teacher Workdays, we invited a member of the Lancaster County Health Department to come and speak with our teachers about the dangers of E-Cigarettes and their use among young people.  click "view" for more   

7th/8th Boys BB Tryouts/Team Formation

Boys MS 7th & 8th Grade Basketball tryouts will be Saturday, September 21 from 2:00-3:30, Sunday, September 22 from 4:00-5:30 & Sunday, September 29 from 1:00-2:30. All tryout sessions will be in the Lincoln Lutheran Main Gym Expect teams to be announced by the end of the first week in October.  Practice will begin at the end of October when the MS Football season has ended.

Service Hour Opportunity

This service opportunity is for the event called, “Huskers Helping the Homeless!” This event is put on by Matt Talbot Kitchen, and the event goes from the 26th to 28th of September. Volunteers will be accepting cash donations from locations all around Lincoln to help fundraise for the homeless! The Community Outreach Team is going to have a group that will be fundraising at the Walmart on 84th & Hwy 2, and it’ll be from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m on Friday September 27th. There will be a signup sheet on the COLT’s bulletin board! We hope to see you all there!!

Softball Results 9/19

Crete/LL Varsity Softball extended their undefeated record to 18-0 with a 10-0 win in 4 innings vs Southern/Diller-Odell in Wymore on Thursday.  This was the 6th shut-out win of the year!  There were 2 home runs by various players.   Kaitlyn Wendt reached base both times at bat. 

Next Game is Tuesday vs Milford.  It will be the last home game for the season. Come show your support of our LL players on the Crete softball team co-op.   JV plays at 5, Varsity at 6:30.  

Pass/No Record Request

Juniors and Seniors who would like to take a 1st Semester class on a Pass/No Record basis should pick up a form from the Guidance Office.  Completed forms must be returned to the Guidance Office NO LATER than October 14th.  

HS Volleyball Results

Malcolm Tournament 9/14: The Varsity team took 3rd place in the 10 team tournament at Malcolm. The Warriors went 4-1, defeating Milford in 2 straight sets in the 3rd place match. 25-20, 20-17.

Softball Results 9/17

Tuesday results. Crete/LL JV lost to GICC 13-9.  They started the final inning down 13-3 and staged a comeback including Brianna Worley hitting and then reaching base on a fielder’s choice. But it wasn’t enough. Varsity won 15-3 in 3 innings.  There were 4 home runs by various players and double by Kaitlyn Wendt. Below is an interview with Coach Carr about the York game on Monday night.  He is discussing the game and the reason for their success this season.  Nice comments about Kaitlyn as well. 

Girls Golf Results on 9/17

The Girls Golf team won their dual against Grand Island Central Catholic on Tuesday.  The girls shot a team total of 193 to GICC’s 224.  The team was led by Natalie Barrett who carded a 44.  Grace Fahleson and Rachael Volin both shot 49, and Mallory Schmidt completed the team scoring with 51.

MS Volleyball Results 9/17: The MS volleyball B team went 2-0 in two sets each match against Trinity Fremont and Immanuel Columbus

LL/Crete Softball vs. York

Monday 9/16, the LL/Crete Softball team went up against York. York JV defeated Crete/LL 13-5. The LL/Crete Varsity won in 4 innings 13-3.  Kaitlyn walked on for her 1st at-bat and hit a double for her 2nd at bat, scoring both times she was on base.  Next game tonight at 5 for JV and 6:30 for Varsity IN CRETE vs GICC.  Game will be shown on  Thursday the team travels to Wymore to play Southern/Diller-Odell @ 6:30.
