If you are looking for some great sports camps in a faith-based environment we invite you to join us at one of our summer events as listed below. Registration forms can be downloaded here, or you can get one by stopping by Lincoln Lutheran, 1100 N. 56th St.

May

  • Boy’s Soccer - May 26 – 29 (grades 2 – 8), 6 - 7:30 P.M., $45 includes ball and T-shirt. The Warriors Boys' Soccer Camp develops fundamental soccer skills through age specific drills, small-sided games, and team tactics. Any boy grade 2-8, highly skilled or new to the game, is welcome to participate. Camp coaches include the high school varsity coaches and players.   • Girl’s Soccer – June 1 – 4 (grades 2 to 8), 6-7:30 P.M., $45 includes ball and T-shirt. The Lady Warrior soccer camp is designed for the soccer player who wants to improve their individual soccer skills. Through four training sessions from well qualified coaches trained through the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), players will improve their abilities to dribble, strike and receive a soccer ball, and get the ball into the goal. Each session will end with small-sided games. Fun, fun, and some more fun is what this soccer camp is about!   • Girl’s Volleyball - June 1 – 5 (grades 9 - 12), 6 - 8:30 P.M., $65 includes a T-shirt. The camp will address: Passing and Defense (form and reading), Serving (zones and techniques), Setting (basic form for all athletes and specialty work for setters), Hitting/Attacking (approach, arm swing, play sets), Blocking (technique and reading), and Team Play.   • Boy’s Basketball – June 1 – 5 (grades 5 -8), 9 A.M. to 12 noon, $70 includes a ball and T-shirt. June 1 - 5 (grades 9 - 12), 1 - 5 P.M., $65 includes T-shirt. The camps are for athletes interested in improving their basketball skills in a fun and organized Christian environment. Led by the Lutheran varsity basketball coaching staff, the camp will emphasize the development of basic and advanced basketball skills- shooting, dribbling, passing, and defense- through individual instruction, drills, and games. The camps will also focus on team play and sportsmanship with many games and contests throughout the week. The camps will also consist of guest speakers sharing the message of Christ and how that should be integrated with athletics today.   • Boy’s & Girl’s Cross Country – June 9 – 10 (grades 6 – 8), 9 - 11 A.M., $20 includes a T-shirt and video analysis. See Cross Country (grades 9 - 12) for the camp description and contact information.
  • Boy’s & Girl’s Cross Country – June 11 – 12 (grades 9 – 12), 8 A.M. - 12 noon, $35 includes a T-shirt and video analysis. Meet your coaches and fellow team runners, set season goals and objectives, and build team unity. We will teach the fundamentals of running and conditioning drills used for the summer and fall season practices. We will also teach the basic training principals used along with nutrition, flexibility, running technique, and the proper footwear you should be wearing. The coaches will also share the groundwork for a successful summer conditioning and running program. Fun activities are also planned.   • Girl’s Basketball – June 29 – 30 (grades 2 – 4), 9:30 - 11 A.M., $20, includes a T-shirt. The 2nd – 4th grade and the 5th through 8th camp will focus on basic basketball skills **. The 9th through 12th grade camp will offer a solid foundation in skill development and motivation concentrating on the following: Foot work, Man to man defensive principles, Setting and using screens, Passing and receiving, Team Defense--(Ball side & Help side), Shooting instruction, Live ball moves, Lay-ups, Game competition to enhance skills, Developing listening skills and lengthening attention span, Team concept and team attitude, Developing confidence13.   • Boy’s & Girl’s Track – July 8 (grades 5 – 8), 9 A.M. - 3 P.M., $25 includes T-shirt. The Lincoln Lutheran Middle School Track & Field Camp will host all athletes of middle school age for a one day hands on experience. The program is designed for athletes with the desire and special aptitude to become more competitive in an event. It is a beginner’s camp, yet will be both challenging and intense, helping the young athlete grow mentally and physically tougher for competition and training. Campers can choose from all disciplines: throws, sprints, hurdles, distance, and jumps. During each training session, campers select an event of their choice for specialization. Each group is assigned an experienced event coach, for specialized training and individual attention. All campers will be served lunch and will also receive a t-shirt. The camp will run from 9am-3pm.   • Girl’s Soccer - July 20 - 23 (grades 9 – 12), 7 - 8:30 A.M., $30 includes t-shirt. Any current high school player or high school player- to- be looking to improve their skills should enroll.   • Boy’s Football – August 4 – 6; (grades 7 - 8), 5 - 7:30 P.M., $35 includes a ball. If you plan to play middle school football in the fall, you are strongly encouraged to participate in this camp! CAMP FEATURES: Spiritual focus, Speed & agility testing, Warrior football offensive & defensive scheme instruction, Technique instruction, “Specialties” (punting, kicking, holding, long/short snapping, fielding punts & kicks), Warrior middle school & high school football coaching staff, Check out equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, etc.), Fraternity with fellow “Warriors for Christ”; build team unity/chemistry, Have fun! CAMP APPAREL: Wear comfortable shorts or sweats and a t-shirt or sweatshirt, cleated shoes are encouraged on the grass to avoid injury, non-cleated shoes for testing & for gym wear if weather is inclement, teeth guard – optional.
