STARS Mentoring Program

Lincoln Lutheran has received a grant through St. Elizabeth's Outreach Education Program and Abstinence Education Program. This program has been used at Pius X and two of their elementary schools. The program is called STARS (Students Teaching Abstinence, Relationships, and Self-Control). The STARS program consists of a group of High School students who support each other in avoiding and abstaining from high-risk behaviors and take a leadership role in mentoring to their peers and middle school students in promoting healthy lifestyles and teaching them character.

Lutheran College Fair

There will be a Lutheran College Fair on Monday, Sept. 12 at Concordia H.S. in Omaha at 6:45pm.  This fair is designed to give students and parents insight into the unique aspects of Lutheran higher education.  There is no charge for the fair and no need to pre-register.  Students who attend will receive four application fee waviers for use at Lutheran colleges and universities. 

Jr/Sr Dual Credit Meeting

Mrs. Molly Cassiday

Mrs. Molly Cassiday currently serves as the Guidance Director at Lincoln Lutheran Middle/High School. She is new to Lincoln Lutheran as of the Summer of 2011. Before becoming a counselor, Mrs. Cassiday was a vocal music teacher and worked in Hastings, NE and later Omaha, NE in both public and private schools. She transitioned into a guidance counseling position for the first time at Omaha South High School in 2009. Mrs. Cassiday received her Bachelor's degree from Hastings College in Hastings, NE and her Master's degree from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. Mrs.

"What's Next" Parent Event

The "What's Next" Parent event is an informational evening that targets issues surrounding the key transitions for students in school:  preschool to kindergarten, elementary to middle school, middle to high school and high school to postsecondary success.  The even showcases a panel of parents and students who will offer insight into how parents and guardians can engage in these critical transitions.  Free dinner and childcare will begin at 5pm followed by the panel discussion. 

Youth Leadership Lincoln

Youth Leadership Lincoln applications are now available in the office for 9th grade students.  The program provides an interactive, hands-on experience to build leadership skills and a life-long commitment to community service.  The application deadline is Friday, May 20.

NHS Induction Ceremony

There will be a National Honor Society Induction Ceremony on Sunday, May 1 at 5:00pm in the Main Gym.

"No Limits" Youth Board

The "No Limits Youth Empowerment Movement" is taking applications for a youth avisory board.  Check out the application at for dates of events, expectations, responsibilities and additional details.  All applications must be received by April 20.
