HuskerVision Internship

Any current senior who has already been accepted to UNL should speak to Mrs. Cassiday if interested in applying for a student video internship with HuskerVision.  This opportunity is for students who are interested in pursuing a career in video production.
 

June ACT Test Prep

L.L. students can attend an ACT test prep course at Creighton University Saturdays and Sundays in May.  An ACT prep orientation will be held on April 29 @ 3pm at the Hixson Lied Science Building at Creighton.  The classes are Sat. May 5, 12, 19 & June 2 from 1-5pm OR Sun. May 6, 13, 20 and June 3 from 1-5pm at the Hixson Science Building.  Check in the office about a discount for the classes. 

Senior Summer Internship

Any graduating senior pursuing a manufacturing-related education at a technical school or four-year college/university should visit with Mrs. Cassiday to get contact information for a potential summer internship.  An opportunity to work in the manufacturing field will give a boost to a resume and provide experience in the field of manufacturing.  Please come and see Mrs. Cassiday if interested.

Academy & Military Info Day

Lincoln Southwest High School is hosting an Academy and Military Information Day on Saturday, March 31st from 9:00am - 12:00noon.  This is open to students/parents interested in the Congressional Nomination process for the U.S. Service Academies and other military opportunities.  For questions call Senator Johanns' Office at 402-758-8981 or Congressman Fortenberry's Office at 402-438-1598 or toll-free 1-866-725-5255.
 

Attention Parents of 9-11 Graders

Course selection time for the 2012-2013 school year is here! Your student will be given a form during their Advisory Period within the next two weeks. The form will require them to fill in what courses they would like to take next year.  Your student will also be receiving a copy of his or her 4-year plan to use as a guide. Please EXPECT and ASK your 9th, 10th, or 11th grade student to be bringing home the course selection form for your approval. It must have a parent signature. All completed forms should be turned in to the student's Advisory Period teacher.
