The Warriors fall short against Elkhorn

The Warriors squared off against Elkhorn on Saturday, April 2. The Warriors kept the game tight from the get go, though they controlled the ball for most of the half. About mid-way through the first half, junior David Tegler was taken out in the box. The referee granted the Warriors a penalty kick. Gideon Soenksen took the kick, and sunk it in the left corner of the net. But the whistle was blowing. The ref did not count the goal for unknown reasons, thus giving the goalie a second shot at blocking the kick. He did just that, Soenksen’s PK was blocked.
