Micah Scholl wins at the Lancaster County Fair

Micah Scholl (who will be a junior this fall at Lincoln Lutheran) recently earned blue and purple ribbons in the 4H hog show at the Lancaster County Fair.  Specifically, Micah's received a purple on his market barrow (neutered male pig), a purple in the carcass contest (3rd overall), a purple in showmanship, and a purple on his "pick a pig" (a pig Micah was able to compete in the fair through a Lancaster County program that gives urban kids the opportunity to show pigs).  Micah plans to compete his market barrow at the upcoming Nebraska State Fair. 

Fields Cut And Bleachers Assembled

THIRTY-TWO Warrior faithful provided strategy, muscle, and machines Saturday morning, August 3.  Thanks to their combined efforts, new bleachers now stand next to the east game field AND the boundaries, yard lines, and hash marks of the game field and all the practice fields are now cut.  The total linear distance covered by all the field lines combined is approximately 9,400 feet (1.78 miles).  Each line was probably mowed at least four times.  This means those who cut the lines with their mowers, collectively covered about 37,600 ft (7.12 miles).  WOW!  Coach

Peace Waverly Hosts Creation Seminar

Heroes Among Us

        This past Sunday, the Hildegard Center for the Arts recognized and honored 80 students, grades 6-12, from Lincoln and the surrounding areas for their contribution to the Heroes Among Us limited edition publication. Nineteen of those students were Lincoln Lutheran Seniors, chosen for their submissions on the topic of people who have directly and indirectly affected their lives for the better. Students wrote about grandparents, parents, friends, those serving in the armed forces, and even our very own Doug Wiemer.
