Peace Waverly Hosts Creation Seminar

Heroes Among Us

        This past Sunday, the Hildegard Center for the Arts recognized and honored 80 students, grades 6-12, from Lincoln and the surrounding areas for their contribution to the Heroes Among Us limited edition publication. Nineteen of those students were Lincoln Lutheran Seniors, chosen for their submissions on the topic of people who have directly and indirectly affected their lives for the better. Students wrote about grandparents, parents, friends, those serving in the armed forces, and even our very own Doug Wiemer.

Who Do You Run For?

When seniors Cassie Hedlund and Casey Blum were asked what they would like to do for their Social Action Project in their college credit English class, they both immediately knew what they wanted to do. The goal of this project was to find an issue that is important to you and then go out into the world and change it. Cassie and Casey both felt strongly about helping to change the way people feel about exercising and eating healthy.
