Food Bank Food Drive - Now till Oct. 26

Thursday (10/12) began our annual food drive contest, led by the Student Council and the National Honor Society. For the next two weeks, please bring any non-perishable food items you’d like to donate to your Access/AP teacher’s room. This drive is a contest between area schools each October to increase the food supply at the Lincoln Food Bank, especially as winter and the holidays approach. Many families in our area struggle to keep food on the table, especially at this time of the year. click view for more

Blue Sheet Clarification

If your student will be gone for 2-3 full blocks or a full day due to a "planned" event (vacation, college visit, etc), please email the front desk so that we can give the student a Blue Sheet. The request needs to be a couple days prior to the "planned" event. This allows them to take it to the teachers to get their assignments and the teachers to plan.

Grandparent's/Grandfriends Day Celebration

We love to celebrate Grandparent's/Grandfriends week and on Thursday, September 7th, we got to celebrate with over 230 of our favorite people. This year, our Grandparents/Grandfriends joined us for a morning of coffee, juice and rolls as well as presentations by our Executive Director Scott Ernstmeyer, Principal Matt Heibel and Directory of Ministry Advancement, Lloyd Wagnitz. The Grandparents then got to meet up with their students, and joined the entire school for a special chapel led by Dr. Ross Stueber.

8th Grade Students Practice Leadership.

On the first day of class, the 8th grade science students reviewed what it means to be a leader in the Lincoln Lutheran Middle School.  They looked at the example Jesus gave us in John chapter 13. Jesus, stoops down to the level of a servant to wash the feet of his disciples.  Leaders put others first and look out for others.  These 8th grade leaders are about serving others and not themselves.  They also discussed how we bless others by allowing someone else to serve you.  Mr. Rickords said "This is a great group of 8th grade students.
