Thank you from the Volin Family

The Blackout for Beth event on Tuesday evening, December 19, was a testament to the love, support, and generosity being shown to our family at this difficult time. The gym looked incredible with all the black clothing worn in support of my battle with melanoma. Thank you for sharing in the meal and fellowship, as well as supporting the bake sale and free throw shooting during the halftimes of the varsity games.  It took a small army of volunteers who devoted so much time and effort so that the event all went smoothly. Breanne Blair Collects Coats & Hats for People's City Mission

Prompted by seeing homeless people along the street, 7th grader Breanne Blair collected coats and hats for those in need.  Bre made posters that were distributed around Lincoln Lutheran as well as at her parents' work places.  In less than a week's time, seven large bags full of coats and hats were collected.  Those bags were donated to the People's City Mission.  Breanne and her Religion-7 teacher Lyle Ziems dropped off the coats and hats at the Shelter on West "O".  Breanne was warmly greeted by PCM staff members Charity &

Blue Sheet Clarification

If your student will be gone for 2-3 full blocks or a full day due to a "planned" event (vacation, college visit, etc), please email the front desk so that we can give the student a Blue Sheet. The request needs to be a couple days prior to the "planned" event. This allows them to take it to the teachers to get their assignments and the teachers to plan.

Grandparent's/Grandfriends Day Celebration

We love to celebrate Grandparent's/Grandfriends week and on Thursday, September 7th, we got to celebrate with over 230 of our favorite people. This year, our Grandparents/Grandfriends joined us for a morning of coffee, juice and rolls as well as presentations by our Executive Director Scott Ernstmeyer, Principal Matt Heibel and Directory of Ministry Advancement, Lloyd Wagnitz. The Grandparents then got to meet up with their students, and joined the entire school for a special chapel led by Dr. Ross Stueber.

8th Grade Students Practice Leadership.

On the first day of class, the 8th grade science students reviewed what it means to be a leader in the Lincoln Lutheran Middle School.  They looked at the example Jesus gave us in John chapter 13. Jesus, stoops down to the level of a servant to wash the feet of his disciples.  Leaders put others first and look out for others.  These 8th grade leaders are about serving others and not themselves.  They also discussed how we bless others by allowing someone else to serve you.  Mr. Rickords said "This is a great group of 8th grade students.
