Donna
Willet has been teaching art at Lincoln Lutheran since 1991. Mrs.
Willet teaches many different types of art, ranging from crafts to
pottery. In addition to teaching, she likes to play volleyball, take
camping vacations, and paint.
Mrs. Willet grew up in Omaha, the third of four children. Her family
was very involved with camping, hunting and other outdoor activities in
her youth. Several of her relatives have also been teachers. Her
favorite childhood memory was weekends spent at her Uncle Hank's farm
in northeast Nebraska. Before teaching, Mrs. Willet attended Wayne
State College for three years and UNL for two years, and then went on
to get her Master’s degree at UNL. In the past she has taught at
Sheridan School in Sheridan, Missouri and East Butler School in
Brainard, NE.
Mrs. Willet is married to husband Steve and has two sons and one
daughter—Chris, Zach and Kate. Three of the five people in their family
are teachers.. Sports and travel are an important part of their family
life, but their relationship with God is most important to them.
Mrs. Willet originally got started at Lincoln Lutheran when she was
a part-time sign painter and she saw that LL was advertising for a
part-time art teacher. Her favorite thing about her time spent at
Lincoln Lutheran is that everything, both professional and personal, is
turned over to God for his guidance.
