Join us on Saturday, March 13^th for the 15^th Annual Lincoln Lutheran Gala and Live Auction.  The event will take place at the Embassy Suites in Downtown Lincoln.  Guests are encouraged to arrive at 5:00 pm for the social hour and silent auction.  The dinner will start at 6:30 pm with the live auction beginning at 8:00 pm. 

The theme for the Gala this year is “Let Your Light Shine” which is also the theme for the 2009-2010 school year.  The theme is based on Matthew 5:14-16  which says “You are the light of the world.  A city on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.  Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”  Jesus commanded us to let our light shine.  We are not supposed to hide the gifts and talents that he has given us, we are to use them to the best of our ability.  In the same way, we are not to hide God’s word from our family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers; we are to proudly share the good news with everyone that we meet.  We at Lincoln Lutheran are striving to pass along this philosophy to students so that they too can be a light in the darkness for anyone they meet.

How can you also “Let Your Light Shine” and participate in this year’s Gala?  First of all, we would love for you to attend!  Ticket prices are $75 per person ($150 per couple). There are also a few other options for reservations. You could have a Hosted, Standard, Premium or Corporate Table. 

• The Hosted Table includes standard seating for 10 people.  As the table host, you are responsible for finding 10 individuals (including yourself) who will join you in purchasing tickets to the gala and sit together at your table. 
• The Standard Table ($750) includes seating for ten individuals and a listing of your sponsorship in the Gala program. 
• The Premium Table ($1000) includes preferred seating for eight at the table. Additoinally, a faculty member and guest will be seated with you.  Your sponsorship will also be listed in the Gala program, on the large screen during the event, and in the May issue of the Lincoln Lutheran Newsletter. 
• The Corporate Table ($1500) includes all of the benefits of the Premium Table plus you also receive a ½ page advertisement in the Gala catalog and a personal runner is assigned to your table. 

Another way for you to “Let Your Light Shine” this school year is to make a donation to the Gala.  Whether that be through a monetary means, a physical item donation or volunteering your time, we would love to have you help in any way that you are able. Please call the School Office at 402-467-5404 and ask for Amy Jurgens or Carrie Merry to make a reservation, donate towards the Gala, or ask any questions.
