This course is designed to assist the students in making Godly, responsible, lifetime health decisions. Emphasis: Healthful living through preventive techniques will be stressed. The students will look at health issues with units including: Social Health, Substance Abuse, Environmental and Community Health, Disease Prevention, Human Development, and Safety and First Aid including certification in First Aid and AED.

Body Dynamics

Body Dynamics will familiarize students with the primary principles involved in weight training. The class will focus on a “total body” program in which the student will learn and perform core and auxiliary lifts. Circuit training and agility drills will be incorporated into their programs as well.

An elective course in Physical Education. Emphasis: This course is centered on lifetime activities. Basic skill development, physical activity through participation, and knowledge of the rules in various individual and dual activities will be the focus of the class. Units included: golf, physical fitness, tennis, racquetball*, badminton, and bowling*. (*Fee Required)

Physical Education 1

All students are required to take 5 credits of Physical Education. Emphasis: This course is centered on dual and team sports as well as health-related fitness. Basic skill development, physical activity through participation, and knowledge of rules will be the focus of the class. All units will be taught and organized with coed involvement. Units include: field hockey, physical fitness, pickle ball, team handball, and floor hockey. Utilizes or incorporates circuit weight training two days a week.

Mrs. Sue Ziegler

Mrs. Ziegler began teaching at Lincoln Lutheran in 1991. Before she came to Lincoln Lutheran, she taught in Prior Lake, Minnesota and also coached at Minneapolis Lutheran and Concordia Academy. She grew up in Brownsdale, Minnesota and attended Hayfield High School. She went on to college at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she earned her bachelors degree in P.E. and Health. She has two siblings, one brother and one sister. She and her husband Mike have a family with four kids: Jon,, Dan, Kelli, and Kyle.  Mrs. Ziegler coached volleyball for 15 years and has coached track for 19. She has brought home 3 State Track Championships (2 girl, 1 boys) and 1 volleyball State Championship to Lincoln Lutheran. Her favorite thing about Lincoln Lutheran is the friendly staff and Christian atmosphere.  Besides being the head track coach for LL, Mrs. Ziegler is the huddle leader for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and also organizes the LOL (Ladies of Lutheran Activities),

Mr. Bob Krall

Mr. Krall began teaching at Lincoln Lutheran in 2005. Before coming to Lincoln Lutheran, he taught in Grand Island, Nebraska for one year and Aurora, Colorado for two years. Mr. Krall grew up in Grand Island and was an only child. He is very close to his parents and loves to spend time with them. He attended Hastings College and got his degree in business and journalism. He then went to Concordia, Seward to earn his education degree. He came to Lincoln Lutheran because he loved the school and the environment. He loves getting to know all of the teachers and students here. Besides teaching, Mr. Krall is a shoe salesman, a broadcaster, and a recreational bowler. In his free time, he loves to watch sports; he is a big fan of the Huskers, Phillies, Flyers, Sixers, and Eagles.
