Middle School Student Council Events

The Middle School Student Council is in the process of doing their canned food drive again this year. They are hoping to match the 1000 cans that they were able collect last year. Each middle school access group is competing to collect the most cans. The winning access group will win an ice cream party. All of the cans will be donated to the People's City Mission.The contest is on!

The Middle School Student Council is also hoping to do something that has never been done before at a middle school fun night. This coming middle school fun night on March 6.  The Student Council wants to invite all eighth graders from St. John in Seward that would like to attend.  They think it will be an oppurtunity for friendship and fellowship with the St. John eighth graders. They also thought since St. John's doesn't have doesn't have fun nights, this would be a fun thing for them to attend.

The Middle School Boys Basketball Tournament Triumph

Janauray 30-31 was the weekend of the middle school boys roundball tournament. The tournament took place in Omaha at the host school Concordia Lutheran. The middle school boys are coached by Coach Holle and Coach Wooster. Coach Wooster was very happy with how the boys played.  He said, "The team played hard and with the right level of intensity that allowed them to win the tournament. Our last two games were tough and hard fought agaist quality opponents. We seemed to control the pace of play through our pressure defense and up-tempo offense, which led to high-scoring games. Overall, we were definitely excited to reach one of our goals for the season." The Lincoln Lutheran middle school boys team was able to win the tournament, their final scores were;

1st Round:  Won 65-32 vs. Trinity Grand Island; 2nd Round:  Won 56-53 vs. Christ NorfolkChampionship:  Won 58-56 vs. Concordia Omaha
