Adopt-a-StudentWe've recently begun an "Adopt-a-Student" program to help match students who need financial assistance to get a Lutheran Education with Lutherans who are able to assist in providing for that education. "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will." The Adopt-a-Student program is in its infancy, but we have already received a strong response from families and individuals who God has blessed with an abundance of good gifts. Three students are currently attending Lincoln area Lutheran schools in full or in part through the Adopt-a-Student program. Adopt-a-Student donors can designate the Lutheran school that they would like to help a student attend, and can adopt a student in full (donating the full tuition amount themselves) or in part (in which case several donations are combined together to adopt a student).
