The site for the Hastings College Tournament Finals will be at the Lynn Farrell Arena, (Hastings College) in Hastings NE. on Saturday, December 6. Admission will be: Adults: $5.00 Students: $3.00.

Congratulations goes out to these Lincoln Lutheran Varsity Volleyball girls who were selected to the 2008 All Centennial Conference Volleyball team. If you see these gals in the hallways or in the classroom, congratulate them on a job well done.

The Lincoln Lutheran High School Music students will be selling sweatpants before the holidays. Orders for these sweatpants will be taken now through Friday, December 5th. The sweatpants will be GRAY in color with LINCOLN LUTHERAN printed down the side on one leg in BLUE. Samples will be available for viewing on Monday, December 1, through Thursday, December 4th, immediately after school (3:30-4:00 p.m.), in the Commons. The sweatpants are available in Adult sizes S, M, L, XL ($18) and XXL ($20). Youth sizes are S(6-8), M(10-12), and L(14-16) and are $14 each. Please check with a Lincoln Lutheran music student to order yours TODAY.

Lincoln Lutheran has a confirmed case of Pertussis (whooping cough) in the middle school. If you notice your child has a persistent annoying cough after having cold symptoms for a week please have your child tested for whooping cough. The threat is not great for teenagers who have had the vaccine or that have had only limited exposure. The threat is more significant for infants and the elderly.

According to the incubation time table for pertussis any middle school student that is infected should be getting a cough between now and Dec. 5th. This is a distinct persistent dry annoying cough that cannot be suppressed with medication. There is a 15-20% chance of getting pertussis if you have been vaccinated and have had close contact with an infected individual.

Christmas Is Coming!!!! Order Early!!!

SCRIP certificates make great gifts for those hard-to-buy-for relatives. And a student of your choice can get tuition credit for using SCRIP...plus you help Lincoln Lutheran.

Thanksgiving schedule: Orders must be submitted by Sunday, November 23rd and will be processed Wednesday, November 26th.

Holiday schedule: Last Order Date: Monday, December 15th. Orders will be processed on Thursday, December 18th. There will be no orders placed until January 5th, 2009, and those orders will be filled on January 8th, 2009. We will have limited amounts of available SCRIP on hand. In the upcoming weeks, you will be seeing information regarding our Annual Fund Drive. Our goal for this first year is $100,000 and we hope to have 60%-75% pledged by December 31, 2008. Since this is new, we are including some information to answer your questions.

How does an Annual Fund Drive work?
Our Annual Fund Drive supports the day to day expenses of Lincoln Lutheran which includes personnel, professional development, technology, instructional costs and plant maintenance.

How is this different than my "Live the Vision" pledge?
"Live the Vision" was a three year capital campaign to reduce Lincoln Lutheran's long-term debt. Your support of this important project was greatly appreciated. Our Annual Fund Drive is designed to develop and maintain yearly ongoing support for the school.

Messiah Lutheran Church is seeking applicants for a full-time church administrative assistant. A warm, welcoming, and helpful attitude is necessary. Multi-tasking  is essential for this position. Proficiency and etiquette with a multi-line phone system, general office procedures, and Microsoft Office is required. Faithfulness to their home church is expected. Previous office experience is preferred. Pay will be commensurate with ability and experience. Full benefits are available.
