Mrs. Laura Stumpf

Laura Stumpf and her family are new to the Lincoln community as of July 2014.  They are most recently from the Indianapolis suburbs, and moved to Lincoln when her husband Andy accepted a Call to serve at Christ Lutheran as a DCE.  Their family also includes Ethan, a busy four year old, and Emma, who joined their family in April 2014.

Laura grew up primarily in Boulder, Colorado, and Norman, Oklahoma, prior to attending the University of Arizona. She has taught from fourth to eighth grades, but her passion is teaching writing to middle school students. Though a Lutheran since birth, teaching at Holy Cross Lutheran School in Indianapolis was her first experience out of the public school system.  She loved the ability to merge faith and teaching, and is blessed to be working in a similar setting at Lincoln Lutheran.  Laura is also involved in the LCMS National Youth Gathering, serving on the planning team for the past two gatherings, and starting preparations now for New Orleans in 2016.  Traveling is one of Laura's favorite ways to spend days out of school, especially to see family members who all live out of state.  She needs to visit only Alaska and Delaware to complete her journey through all 50 states!  Laura also loves reading, hiking, and Shutterfly scrap books.
