...How you can help

How to: insert a photo

Enter insert mode

You can add photos to most content types on our website including News, Events, Announcements, AlumNotes and so forth. To do so, you must be on the Edit tab for that piece of content and working in the body field

Click on the image icon and a small window opens up. Wait for this window to load completely. Any images that you have previously added to the site will appear in this window. If you have added many images you may see previous and next links to view all of your images.

You may also use the drop down selector in the upper left corner of the window to select images uploaded by other users and all images that were tagged as belonging to a particular topic.

You can also upload an image at this time, but this seems to be somewhat problematical, and we recommend that you add your photos before you insert them into other content.

Once you have found the image you wish to insert, click on it. This will bring up the next dialog box.

From this screen you should change the image size to the correct size for your page (midsize or thumbnail are usually correct). And change the alignments. (None is normally the correct alignment) You may optionally add a title and description, but the other setting should be left as they are unless you really know what you're doing. When you are done click on insert at the bottom of the window.

Currently, only Lloyd seems to be able to get images larger than a thumbnail, so shoot him an email with a link to the page you are working on if you need a larger image.
