Mr. Mark Watton

Mark Watton grew up on a farm near Falls City, Nebraska and graduated from Southeast Consolidated High School at Stella in 1977. He attended University of Nebraska at Lincoln, but after one year transferred to Peru State College and also got married to his wife Diana. Mark graduated from Peru State in 1982 and got his first teaching job at Nebraska City Lourdes High School. After four years there, he decided to take a teaching job in Wahoo, Nebraska. Mark taught Math at Wahoo for 29 years and coached basketball for the majority of those years. During that time, Mark and Diana raised two children, Amber and Austin. Amber works at Boys Town and Austin is teaching Middle School Math in Fremont. Mark retired from Wahoo in 2015, but when Mr. called, he couldn’t resist the temptation to get back into teaching. He feels fortunate to be here at Lincoln Lutheran around such wonderful students, parents and staff. math.
