Blackout for Beth Event

On Tuesday, Dec. 19th, in conjunction with the Girls and Boys, JV and Varsity Basketball games versus Wahoo at Lincoln Lutheran, some LL friends of the Volin family are independently sponsoring a “Blackout for Beth” theme and event in support of Beth Volin, who is currently battling metastatic melanoma. If you would like to volunteer to help on the 19th, here is the  link Click 'view' for all the details.

Reason and Goal for the event:  Beth Volin is currently battling metastatic melanoma with a team of medical oncologists working together from Lincoln, NE and Houston, TX.  The Volin family has been a part of the Lincoln Lutheran Schools since starting at Trinity Elementary in 2004, and have been a part of the Lincoln Lutheran Middle School/High School since 2010 and currently have Luke in the 10th grade and Rachael in the 8th grade.   Ron and Beth are both from Wahoo originally, Ryan graduated from WHS in 2017, and Luke plays baseball for the LL/Wahoo cooperative team each Spring.

The goal of this event is to bring together the Lincoln Lutheran community with the Wahoo community in public support of Beth and the entire family by having a Blackout theme for the evening.   This will include the opportunity for financial support to go toward the high costs associated with ongoing medical care and travel to appointments.

There will be a meal of Raising Cane’s chicken fingers and sides available for purchase at a very reasonable price as well as a bake sale to benefit the Volin family.  You will be able to offer any free will donation to go directly to Beth and her family at the meal, bake sale, or during the free throw contests at halftime of the Girls and Boys Varsity games.  The Volin family will be distributing prayer reminder bracelets as a thank you for the continued prayer support that is so amazing and powerful.  Please keep Beth and the Volin family in your prayers.

Beth has a Caring Bridge blog if you would like to visit her site to see her updates as she shares her battle and journey and specific requests for prayers, please feel free to check it out at:
