Mr. Scott Ernstmeyer

Scott Ernstmeyer serves Lincoln Lutheran School Association as its Executive Director. He began his experience in Lutheran Education when he attended Lincoln Lutheran Junior High School for grades 7-9. He is a graduate of Lincoln Northeast High School and attended Concordia University, Seward from 1992-1997 where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Education. During his college years Scott participated in basketball and campus leadership. Upon graduation, Scott accepted his first call to teach and coach at Lincoln Lutheran and served in that capacity for five years teaching religion, business, and physical education classes. He also served as the head cross country coach and was an assistant for the high school boy’s basketball team. After completing his Masters in Secondary Education through Concordia University in 2002, he was called to serve as Principal for Lincoln Lutheran. During Scott’s tenure Lincoln Lutheran received several grants to improve programming. The school added 6th grade to its campus and also received accreditation through the National Lutheran Schools Accreditation process. Scott has been actively involved in the Association of Lutheran Secondary Schools as a participant in their Leadership Development Series and by attending annual conferences. After serving as Principal for five years, Scott began his new role as Executive Director for the Lincoln Lutheran School Association in July of 2007. Lutheran Christian education is his passion and he believes God has “amazing plans in store for Lincoln Lutheran.” In May of 2011, he completed coursework through the University of Nebraska at Kearney and earned his Educational Specialist Degree. In 1997 Scott married Sara (Sype), a 1997 graduate of Concordia University. They have three daughters – Kayla (born in 2000), Addi (2003), and Jordan (2005). They are actively involved in their church (Messiah, Lincoln) in both music and small group ministry.
