Mrs. Marge Swearer

Marge Swearer began teaching at Lincoln Lutheran Middle/High School in 2006. She teaches high school and middle school choir and religion. Mrs. Swearer originally came to Lincoln Lutheran because her husband is a pastor and her family moved from South Carolina when he accepted a call to Holy Savior Lutheran Church. Her favorite thing about teaching here is, “Working with the choirs—they are awesome!” Marge Swearer grew up in Beacon, New York, about one and a half hours north of New York City. Her family consisted of six people, as she has three sisters (two older, one younger). Her dad worked for IBM and her mom was a nurse. Marge went to Concordia in Bronxville, New York where she earned her undergraduate degree. She then went to Long Island University in New York where she acquired her Master’s degree. Now, she has a family of six of her own with her husband Bob, and they have been married for 28 years. They also have “four great kids!” Nate is 22, BJ is 18, Amy is 15, and Emily is 14. Marge Swearer hasn’t just taught at Lincoln Lutheran (to say the least). She has taught at St. Paul Lutheran in St. Louis and Millinton, Michigan; Liberty Center Schools in Liberty Center, OH; Trinity Lutheran in Hicksville, NY; Long Island Lutheran High School in NY; Redeemer Lutheran in NY; Immanuel Lutheran in CO; and Hilton Head Christian Academy in South Carolina. In addition to teaching, Marge likes to attend as many athletic and music events in which her children are participating as she can. She also has two praise teams at her church.
