Rev. Duncan McLellan

Reverend Duncan McLellan has explored a new avenue this year, humbly taking time out of his busy and hectic schedule as the associate pastor at Faith Lutheran, to serve the Lord in his first year of teaching. Pastor McLellan is the teacher for both sections of the senior religion courses that focus on different denominations and religions. He has only been a teacher for a short time, now but seems to really be connecting with the students through his teaching. Rev. McLellan grew up in Fairfax Virginia, a suburb of the District of Columbia and attended Mary Washington, a liberal arts college in Fredericksburg, Virginia. While he has no brothers or sisters, his father, a retired attorney for the commerce department, and his mom, a retired teacher for mentally handicapped children, now both live in the mountains of North Carolina. They enjoy a golf course outside their back door and the mountains are out the front. They do manage, however, to travel to Lincoln once a year to see their son. The thing that Pastor McLellan likes most about teaching at Lincoln Lutheran is the getting to know the seniors. “This is a very fun and important time in their lives and I hope that I am a positive influence on them as they go from “kid” to “adult”. Apart from his strenuous work load, in his free time he likes working out, spending time with friends, finding things to do in Lincoln, and driving his loved car, his GTO.
