Scholarships can be awarded to qualified students through many sources. The most substantial opportunities for earning scholarships are typically found through a specific college or university that has accepted your application to become a student. Be sure to explore your post-secondary institution's website and contact the financial aid office to discover what is available to you.

This is a free resource for students and families to explore all things involving financial aid including any and all questions regarding the FAFSA. Scholarship opportunities often come through the Guidance Department. When notice of a scholarship opportunity has been received, it will be posted on the Lincoln Lutheran website in the space below. A brief descriptor and the application deadline will be listed.

  • Jong G. and Lin Yee Scholarship.  CHI Health & St. Elizabeth Foundation are offering two $1000 scholarships to students with an interest in cancer.  Applicants should be high school seniors who reside in Lancaster county and have at least a 3.0 GPA.  Selection is based on a 500 word essay describing how cancer has affected your life either through personal experience or because of an interest in the field of oncology.  More information and application can be downloaded by clicking the "Yiee Scholarship Brochure" link at the bottom of this page.  Deadline to apply is April 1, 2018.

  • Pink Bandana Scholarship.  Pink Bandana is a non-profit organization that raises money and awareness about breast cancer.  The members of Pink Bandana have worked to extend help to students whose lives have been affected by breast cancer by offering $4000 scholarship to students who have been diagnosed with breast cancer or who have a parent or guardian who has been diagnosed within the last 5 years.   • Eastern Nebraska/Western Iowa Car Council's Paul High Memorial Scholarship.  ENWICC has four $300 scholarships available to students who are planning to enroll in an automotive technology program.  The deadline to apply is April 15, 2018.  Find more information and application at:  http://www.enwicc.com/ENWICC_Scholarship.html

  • 2018 Nebraska Coaches Association Scholarship.  Eight $1000 scholarships are available in each of the NSAA state districts.  Applicants must be in the upper 25% of their graduating class or have a 3.75 GPA, be at least a 2 year participant in 2 sports, have earned a varsity letter in 2 sports and have a minimum ACT score of 24.  Application must include a letter of recommendation from a high school coach.  Deadline to apply is April 16, 2018.  Find more information and application at:  http://www.ncacoach.org/lincolninnsuites.php

  • LL Michael C.   • LL Bryan Health Scholarship.  This scholarship is available to one LL senior who is planning to pursue a career in a health care profession.

  • LL Eberhardt & Wurm Family Scholarships.  In order to earn one of these scholarships you must plan to attend a Concordia University and be a member of Trinity Lutheran Church or another Lincoln Lutheran Association church.  Application Deadline is April 20, 2018.  Submit your application to the LL Guidance office using this form:  https://goo.gl/forms/nrfhBc6Ptk0amRht1  (Both Scholarships use the same application)

  • Arnold, Wayne & Kenneth Loontjer Memorial Scholarship.  This scholarship is available to one LL graduating senior who plans to attend a Concordia school and major in math or science.   Application Deadline is April 21, 2018.  Submit your application to the LL guidance office using this form:  https://goo.gl/forms/5mSdbBkq8ix4oWPB3

  • Lincoln South Rotary Club Scholarship Program.  Lincoln South Rotary Club is offering three $1000 scholarships to students who are actively involved in leading their community through volunteer work and community service.  Deadline to apply is April 20, 2018.  For more information and application click on the "Lincoln South Rotary Scholarship application and letter" links at the bottom of this page.  

  • LL Ohlrich Scholarship.  This scholarship will go to one LL graduating senior who plans to go into the medical field.  Priority will be given to those going into nursing but other medical fields such as dental hygiene, physicians assistants, physical therapists, MDs will also be considered.  Deadline to apply is April 22, 2018.  Submit your application to the LL guidance office using this form:  https://goo.gl/forms/m6rlpiTBl76zE7Av1

  • LL Paschold Scholarships.  There is one 4-year scholarship for $1500 available and six 1-year scholarships for $1000 available to LL graduating seniors who plan to attend an LCMS (Concordia) College or university.  GPA requirements are 3.5 for the 4 year scholarship and 3.0 for the one year scholarships.  Deadline to apply is April 22, 2018.  Submit your application to the LL guidance office using this form:  https://goo.gl/forms/10pvuj4UomTmRWWv1

  • B. Davis Scholarship.  Student Award Search Aid is offering a $1000 scholarship.  This scholarship is open to all high school juniors and seniors and selection is based on a 1000 word essay about leadership.  The deadline for applications is May 22, 2018.  For more information and application details go to:  http://www.studentawardsearch.com/scholarships.htm   While you are there browse through the rest of the website to learn more about applying for scholarships.  This website is developed for the purpose of helping students locate and apply for scholarships.  The site is free and there is no charge for the information or to apply for scholarships.

  • BigSun Scholarship 2018.  The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits.  They are offering deserving students a $500 scholarship.  Applicants must be high school seniors who is participating in at least one sport.  Selection is based on a 500 word essay about the influence sports has had on your life and career choices.  The deadline to apply is June 19, 2018.  Winners will be announces two weeks after the deadline.  For more information and application instructions go to:  http://www.bigsunathletics.com/

  • HardMoneyHome.com Volunteerism and Entrepreneurship Scholarship.  HardMoneyHome.com is offering a $1000 scholarship to an eligible student who has a dedicated interest in volunteerism and entrepreneurship. One student, who will be attending college or university in the Fall of 2018, will receive $1000 for tuition and/or books.   • ReviewerTouch Scholarship Program.  ReviewerTouch is a product review site that is offering $1000 scholarships to students with a flare for writing.  Applicants should submit a 400-500 word essay on the topic of Digital Marketing.   • Shoes Tracker Scholarship Program.  ShoeTracker's mission is to help people improve their overall foot health.  The purpose of the Shoes Tracker annual scholarship is to draw attention to this often ignored issue by encouraging students to write about their personal experience or the experiences of people they may know.  All applicants are welcome to apply but you must be a high school or college student and your 200-500 essay must be written in English.  The essay must be original content.   • AES Engineers Scholarship.  AES Engineers is committed to continuing its support of higher education by providing scholarships to deserving students.   • Learn to Dream Scholarship. This is a needs-based scholarship for students to attend Southeast Community College in Beatrice, Lincoln, or Milford.   • The Trinity Lutheran Scholarship.  Scholarships of $5000 to up to $12,000 are available to members of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lincoln who are pursuing a career in church work in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.  Apply at least 60 days prior to the start of the school term for which the scholarship is being requested.  Click the "Trinity Lutheran Scholarship Fund" link at the bottom of this page for more information and the "Trinity Scholarship Application" link for an application form to be turned in the the Trinity Church office.  

  • Varsity Tutors Scholarship Contest.  Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students write an essay in response to a monthly prompt. Entries are reviewed by Varsity Tutors at the end of the month and one winner is subsequently chosen to receive the $1,000 college scholarship.   • KidGuard for Education Scholarship Program.  The KidGuard for Education Scholarship is part of an effort to bring awareness and inspire solutions for issues such as cyberbullying, online predators, teen suicide and childhood depression.  All students in grades 9-12 are eligible to apply.  KidGuard will be awarding multiple scholarships ranging from $500 to $1000.  This is an ongoing annual scholarship with the annual deadline apply being October 31.
