High School Boys Basketball

The Lincoln Lutheran boy’s varsity basketball team concluded a very fulfilling and successful 2011-2012 campaign. The boys put in a lot of time and hard work this past off-season to prepare for their vigorous schedule in the Centennial Conference. The team showed a lot of improvement this year and finished their season with a 13-10 record. This is the most wins in 8 years and it tied the number of wins from 2003-2004. It was also the first time in school history that the boys have won back to back Holiday Tournaments. The season was highlighted with two wins over ranked teams. The junior varsity team also had a very successful year with a 12-4 record.

The theme for the year was “No Limit”, which was based on Jeremiah 1:19. The Warriors used this theme to guide them to a competitive and successful season. Lutheran will lose seniors Curtis Anderson, Cody Claridge, Nick Hoover, Logan Wachal, and Zach Wiemer. These seniors helped the program make a large amount of improvement. Next year the Warriors will welcome back 3 players who started regularly in the previous season and 5 players who were in the normal varsity rotation. This experience combined with a strong junior varsity team creates a lot of enthusiasm and high expectations for the 2012-2013 campaign.
