Family & Consumer Science Department

The Family and Consumer Sciences classes are required at the 6th, 7th and 8th grade level.  They are exploritory classes introducing student to family and consumer sciences subject matter such as:  work of the family, food and nutrition,  healthy eating habits, child development, money management, laundry, sewing skills,  the history of FCS and others.  Semester long classes of Food and Nutrition and Sewing and Home Decor are offered at the high school level equipping students to be prepared for college and life beyond high school.
