Theology Department

The theology curriculum aims to enhance and continually deepen: scriptural knowledge, theological connections and practical application. The primary focus of all theology classes is the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and our salvation by grace through faith with each class studying different aspects of the Christian faith. Our curriculum begins with focus on strengthening the students’ knowledge and understanding of the people, events, and historical and cultural context of the Bible as narrative of God interacting with His people. This foundation is then strengthened as the curriculum shifts toward a focus on making theological connections between the Biblical narrative and the theological reality of God’s continuous work of salvation, not only in the Old and New Testament, but also throughout the entire history of the Church. Finally, our curriculum turns focus on helping the students form a Christian worldview, and to apply Christian truths to the various spiritual and vocational challenges that arise in the world.
