Warriors Compete at Lincoln Lutheran Invitational
The Lincoln Lutheran cross country meet at Pioneers Park October 2 was very successful. All of the Warriors competed well at their home meet.
Medalists in the girls' race included Kayla Asche in 6th (17:28), Erin Heiden in 8th (17:53), and Anne Heibel in 12th (18:32). Other varsity placers included Lauren Hohbein, 22nd, Tara Dudycha, 23rd, and Sarah Lohmeyer, 24th. Junior Varsity results for the girls included Andrea Paul in 2nd, Laura Rasmussen in 3rd, and Jenna Ripke in 4th. The girls' team finished fourth overall. The boys' team finished second at their home meet, only 3 points short of a championship. The boys' medalists for varsity were Andrew Malan in 2nd (18:02), Steve Lokie in 7th (18:53), and Dane Stahr in 11th (19:10). Other varsity scorers were Mark Lohmeyer, 21st, Alex Steffens, 25th, and Kolby Johnson, 27th. Junior Varsity results were Ken Lahm, 3rd, Mitchell Volk, 4th, David Tegler, 6th, Alex Heiden, 8th, Jacob Bergdolt, 9th, and Trevor Craig, 11th. This meet was also parents' night for the cross country team. Parents were given flowers and recognized for supporting their children. There was also a great turnout of Lincoln Lutheran fans coming to see their cross country team compete at their only home meet. |
