Lincoln Lutheran Hosts Conference Meet

Lincoln Lutheran was host to the Centennial Conference Cross Country Meet at Pioneer Park on Friday October 10. The girl’s team finished with a fourth place team finish, and the boys a fifth place finish. The girl’s team fell just two points short of a third place finish. The girls were lead by medalists Kayla Asche - 10th (17:34.8), just nipping team mate Erin Heiden - 11th (17:35.8) by one second. Anne Heibel finished in 18th place with a time of 18:27.4. Rounding out the varsity was Lauren Hohbein - 38th (19:57); Sarah Lohmeyer - 46th (21:35.3); and Tara Dudycha - 48th (22:17.8). The boys team was led by 7th place medalist Andrew Malan (18:19.6), followed by Dane Stahr - 23rd (19:15.2); Steve Lokie - 36th (20:03.9); freshman Kolby Johnson - 43rd (20:26.4); Mark Lohmeyer - 52nd (21:15.4); and Alex Steffens - 57th (23:49.9). The Girls Junior Varsity results were led by a personal season best time for Laura Rasmussen - 17th (21:47.9); Jenna Ripke - 26th (23:39); and Andrea Paul - 27th (23:47.2). The boys results included a 35th finish for Mitchell Volk (21:47.7) followed by Ken Lahm - 60th (24:40.7); Alex Heiden - 61st (24:43); David Tegler - 63rd (24:48.4); Jacob Bergdolt - 67th (26:17.8); and Trevor Craig - 71st (32:03).The Team wants to finish strong as they will compete next at the District meet in Bennington on Thursday October 16th at 4:30pm (girls) and 5:00pm (boys).
