"Guys and Dolls" Musical

Executive Summary:
"Guys and Dolls" Musical (all weekend)

The Lincoln Lutheran drama department will be presenting "Guys and Dolls" on November 19 and 20 at 7pm and on the 21 at 2pm. In this classic musical, you will find yourself transported to New York City, circa 1950.

There are many unscrupulous characters in these streets- gamblers and cheats galore. Their lives are lived in the ebb and flow of Nathan Detroit’s floating crap game. However, due to a marriage-hungry fiancé, 14-years in the making, and a police officer with an uncanny ability to always be in the wrong place at the wrong time, Nathan is having trouble securing a place for the next game. For a mere $1000, though, he could guarantee a spot for his game- if he only had a lousy grand. Enter Sky Masterson. This high roller could supply Nathan with the much needed money, if Nathan makes a bet he cannot possibly lose. Sky falls for the “sucker bet,” and now has to convince a certain woman to accompany him to Havana, Cuba. And why not? Sky is charming, handsome, and a smooth talking, ladies’ man. However, he is also nothing at all what Save-A-Soul Mission’s leader, Sarah Brown, is looking for or interested in- at least not yet!

This performance promises a little dancing, a lot of laughter, a trip to Cuba, a fight scene, and a wedding- all in one night! Come and enjoy an evening with some excellent Lincoln Lutheran guys and dolls.

Tickets go on sale begining November 5th. The cost of tickets is $7.  You can purchase tickets before or after school in portable classroom number 4.  If  you have questions, contact Mrs. Olp.
