News Highlights

Food Bank Food Drive - Now till Oct. 26

Thursday (10/12) began our annual food drive contest, led by the Student Council and the National Honor Society. For the next two weeks, please bring any non-perishable food items you’d like to donate to your Access/AP teacher’s room. This drive is a contest between area schools each October to increase the food supply at the Lincoln Food Bank, especially as winter and the holidays approach. Many families in our area struggle to keep food on the table, especially at this time of the year. click view for more


No School Friday 10/20

There is no school on Friday, October 20 for Quarter Break. Please note that the office will be open that day during the hours of 10 am - 2 pm.


R/JV Volleyball Triangular Monday

We wanted to make certain everyone knew the planned schedule for the Reserves & JV VB triangular planned for next Monday, Oct. 23. Norris had to drop out of the Reserves part. There will be only one Reserves game played at 5 pm in the Small Gym. Here is the planned schedule for Monday: 

Small Gym:  5 pm - LL Reserves vs. Beatrice Reserves

Main Gym:  5 pm - LL JV vs. Beatrice JV;  6 pm - Beatrice JV vs. Norris JV;  7 pm - LL JV vs. Norris JV


Help needed for HS Football Friday

Friday night is our final home football game vs. Yutan. Gates will open at 7 pm with the game starting at 7:30 pm. We still have a few opportunities for you to help us out. We need a couple people to assist with admissions as well as a couple of people to assist with selling Warrior Wear. Fall Reformation Concert and Soup Supper

Our Annual Fall Band and Choir Concert is coming up next week on Tuesday, Oct. 24th at 7:00 pm in the Main Gym. To celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, the 6th-12th grade bands and choirs will present a concert of sacred music. Organist Paul Soulek from St John in Seward will also lead us in a hymn sing throughout the concert. Along with the concert, our music boosters will be providing a soup supper in the commons from 5:00-6:30. Click "view" for more.


MS Music Fundraising Packets

All 6th-12th Grade Music students have a chance to sell items for their high school music trip. This trip happens every three years (this Spring May 21st-25th, 2018 to Minnesota and Wisconsin) and cost between $400-$600. All profits earned go into a personal account that stays with each student until they get to high school. Music students will be selling Lincoln Lutheran Sweatpants/Shorts, Fresh Fruit, and Marcus Movie Tickets. All sales forms must be turned in by November 7th. Make checks payable to Lincoln Lutheran. 


HS FB Game Time Friday: 7:30

Just a reminder that the HS Varsity Football game this Friday vs Yutan will begin at 7:30 pm at Abel Stadium. The gates will not open until 7 pm due to NWU practices.


Blue Angels Trivia Night

Lincoln Lutheran Blue Angels Trivia Night: Test your fun fact knowledge and support Lincoln Lutheran's Blue Angels Dance Team at Trivia Night, Friday, Nov. 17, at Faith Lutheran Church, 8701 Adams Street. A silent auction of fun items for all interests begins at 6:30 p.m. with the trivia game starting at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $15 per person or a table of 10 for $150. To purchase tickets or a table, contact Christina Onnen at 402-525-4329.


Blue Sheet Clarification

If your student will be gone for 2-3 full blocks or a full day due to a "planned" event (vacation, college visit, etc), please email the front desk so that we can give the student a Blue Sheet. The request needs to be a couple days prior to the "planned" event. This allows them to take it to the teachers to get their assignments and the teachers to plan.

Isn't She Lovely Conference

"Isn't She Lovely" is a new event for Middle and High School girls that addresses some of the pressures of modern teen life including friendship, acceptance, and social media. Guest speaker will be author and speaker Jessie Minassian who has been featured on Focus on the family and Moody Radio. She will discuss real issues that affect young women and challenge them to live fully for God. click "view" for more


Boys Indoor Soccer Sign-up

Jeremiah Majorins is looking for boys in 9th-12th grade who are interested in playing indoor soccer! The league this year will be played on Sunday mornings and afternoons. The cost per player depends on how many players register. For example, a 10 man team would mean that each player owes $60. The deadline for signing up is October 22nd.  If you are interested in signing up, there is a signup sheet in Mr. Bassett's classroom. Please feel free to contact me with any questions! Driver's Ed to begin Nov. 27

Any student who is interested in taking Driver's Ed at LL this fall, please come to the front desk and put your contact info on the sheet there, as well as pick up the information brochure with instructions on how to register for the class online. We need to have a minimum of 12 students, so we need to know who is planning on taking the course. The classes will be meet from 6:55 am - 7:55 am M-F beginning on Nov. 27th. Class fee is due on the first day of class. (Please note this class WILL NOT be billed through FACTS)


Server Position Available

Lincoln Lutheran is seeking applicants for a Server position in the School Nutrition Program. This is a regular position with scheduled hours throughout the school year. Hours are approximately 10:15-12:15 PM each day school is in session.
