Homecoming 2010 Recap

The week of September 19-25 was an eventful Homecoming Week at Lincoln Lutheran.

On Sunday, high school students showed up to decorate the hallways in a variety of movie themes.  The faculty voted on the decorations, and bestowed the honor of best hallway to the sophomore class for their hallway, which had a "Pirates of the Caribbean" theme. Powderpuff football and volleyball games followed, and the seniors dominated those contests without even needing any help from the scorekeepers!

Monday was a day off of school, and Tuesday brought many decked out in their pajamas.  On Wednesday, students enjoyed "Color Me Crazy" day, writing fun messages all over each other's shirts, and on Thursday, students and faculty participated in Hero/Villain Day, wearing a variety of costumes representing their favorite characters.  Friday was Spirit Day, ending with the Homecoming Pep Rally, where Isaiah Bockelman and Jami Watts were crowned King and Queen.

The day ended with a hard-fought battle on the football field between the Warriors and Fillmore Central.  Homecoming Week concluded with Saturday night's dance, filled with beautiful outfits, movie-related decorations and snacks, and music played by alumni Briar McCoy and Derek Neihardt.

Thanks to all who contributed in making Homecoming 2010 a huge success.   It was truly a great week to be a Warrior!
