Lady Warriors defeat Schuyler

On Tuesday, April 12 the Lady Warriors took on Schuyler. With a tough schedule the past two weeks, the Warriors felt more prepared and were ready for a win. The Warriors' only worry was the physical-ness that Schuyler brings every year. Having that in mind the girls played through and overcame the physical contact, and kept control of the ball for much of the first half. With many shots on goal however, both teams went into halftime with nil points.

Disappointed with the score, the Lady Warriors came out of halftime with even more intensity. Once again, the Warriors maintained most of the possessions in the second half. Goal-hungry, the Warriors took many shots on goal. Finally, senior Erin Heiden shot a perfect ball towards the upper 90, and scored, making the score 1 to nil. The Warriors were able to maintain pressure on Schuyler's half, and key saves by freshmen goalkeeper Tara Ziegelbein kept the Warriors in the lead, and gave them the victory.

The next challenge for the Lady Warriors will come on Saturday, April 16 at 2 pm at Spirit Park vs. Lutheran High Northeast. They will be honoring the 13 seniors before this game, as it is their last home game.
