“My education at Lincoln Lutheran played a very direct role in preparing me to become an educator and a scholar.  First and foremost, my experience gave me tremendous confidence that I could be a successful student, which in turn further ignited my passion for learning.  Second, to a person, my instructors were great role models—I always felt that they genuinely cared about me and my development as a whole person.  Third, my education provided a foundation for my views on the role of faith and ethics in business leadership, as well as my approach to discussing these issues in the classroom.”

When asked what some of his favorite memories from Lincoln Lutheran were, Matt stated: “I don’t think I can narrow down my experience to a single favorite memory.  Instead, what stand out to me are the countless memories that revolve around the rich ties I formed with my classmates, teachers, and coaches.  I always felt like I was a part of something special.”

When asked what advice he would provide for current Lincoln Lutheran students, Matt replied:  “I’ve never been more convinced that great accomplishments in any area of our lives stem from an unwavering, daily commitment to try to do the right things in the right way for the right reasons.  And for me, the most important “right” reason is to seek out and follow God’s plan.
