Upcoming Events for Student Council

Student Council always stays busy throughout the year. Right now they are especially busy. On Monday, April 22, they had a pep rally to just give the school a little fun and celebrate those participating in spring sports. Part of the pep rally even involved the creation of a school-wide "Harlem Shake" video. A few of the Stu-Co members also recently delivered new baby items and fleece tie blankets made by the group to the Lincoln Crisis Pregnancy Center.  These donations were made possible with proceeds from the NLSW change contest and the high school fun night.

Student Council will have many things coming up in the month of May. National Day of Prayer will be on May 2nd. They are preparing prayer guides to be used in each class period for that day.   They also will hold elections at the beginning of May for the upcoming 2013-2014 school year on Wednesday, May 8. This will including choosing class representatives for those who will be in grades 9-12 next year. They will give their final chapel message of the year on Friday, May 10th. The end of the school year also gives members a chance to propose ideas for changes for the next school year, so they have been spending time discussing various issues.

According to faculty sponsor Miss Bockelman, "This has been a very productive and successful year for the Student Council. They have really worked hard to stay busy with projects designed to improve life for those who attend Lincoln Lutheran and for those in the Lincoln community. I am really proud and thankful for of all of their efforts!"
