Stu-Co busy getting ready for National Lutheran Schools Week

National Lutheran School Week is celebrated across America each year. This year it will be celebrated throughout the week of January 27-February 2.  Throughout the United States there are 1,376 early childhood centers, 879 elementary schools, and 88 high schools in the LCMS system. There are about 229,500 students hearing the message of Jesus Christ across the United States each school day.

After a successful first semester for Student Council with projects like the Angel Tree, Homecoming Week and Thankful Turkeys, they just keep on going. They are currently planning events for NLSW. Throughout first semester the group of high schoolers did Angel Tree, Homecoming Week, Turkey Money, and more. They have planned the following dress-up days -  Monday will be Pajama Day, Tuesday is Time Machine Tuesday, and then there is Wacky Wednesday. Thursday will be Theatrical Thursday (Costumes),  and the week will end with Formal Friday. There will be an assembly during Wednesday's AP/Access time with fun contests between the grades.  An ongoing change contest will also raise money to purchase items to donate to the Lincoln Crisis Pregnancy Center.  Everyone should be looking forward to National Lutheran Schools week as the Student Council has been working hard to make it a fun eventful week.
