Director of Ministry Advancement


To design and implement programs to enhance and promote the future growth and development of the LLSA in partnership with the Lutheran Education Foundation (LEF) and its partner institutions.  These programs will increase awareness of, positive image of, and support for Lutheran education in Lincoln and surrounding communities through a focus on relationships and connecting donors with their passion.


  • Establish and maintain ongoing professional relationships with gift prospects and benefactors.
  • Provide leadership for the overall planning and coordination of the LEF’s Development Program.
  • Undertake initiatives to enhance effectiveness in marketing and public relations.
  • Direct support staff and volunteers on development office tasks appropriate for delegation.
  • Enhance competence through study and participation in conferences, workshops and professional related organizations.
  • Effectively participate on the Lincoln Lutheran administrative team


  • Three to five years of educational or non-profit fundraising experience focused on major and planned gift solicitation.  A demonstrated track-record of success in gift fundraising preferred.
  • Ability to work with varied constituencies of the LLSA, the LEF, and Association partners including alumni, friends, Lutheran professional and lay leaders, board members and parents.
  • Excellent written and oral skills.
  • A strong commitment to the mission and values of the LLSA and the LEF.
