Day of Singing

Day of Singing is an annual choral workshop and hymn festival that takes place at St. John Seward on Saturday October 11th.  Many area middle school students gather for an enriching day of singing and worship centered in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Organizers Paul Soulek and Betsy Werner came to Lincoln Lutheran to promote this event and encourage our students to attend this year.

Students spend an afternoon (beginning at 1 p.m.) with rehearsals, games, snacks, and fun.  Guest clinician Sam Eatherton from Dallas, Texas will work with student voices and provide inspiration and insight for directors interested in improving their skill.  A $5 per student fee covers all music and food.  Since the goal is to encourage and inspire all of God’s people to sing together, Day of Singing culminates as students lead a hymn festival at 5:30 p.m.  Visit the website for further details and email Michael Werner ( or Sam Eschliman ( if you are interested in having your child attend.
