HS Volleyball Results


The Varsity team played in the Championship match of the Seward Invitational on Saturday. After going 3-0 in pool play, the team took on Class B #3 Omaha Duschene. It was a battle, with very close scores, but the Warriors lost 25-22 and 27-25. Hope Leimbach put up 107 set assists, Marriah Buss led the team in kills for the day with 76. Erin Williams and Lexie Kreizel led in digs with 45 and 38 respectively and they also led in ace serves with a combined 11. The Warriors are now 14-1 and have another challenging evening tomorrow as they face 2 unbeaten teams in the Conference at Wahoo Bishop Neumann, with the other opponent being Fremont Bergan. Match times for the Varsity are at 5:00pm and 6:00pm. There will not be a JV match with Fremont Bergan, so the JV will be playing a best 3 of 5 sets in their match with Wahoo Neumann at 5:00pm. They will play at the St. Wenceslaus gym, which is just north of the high school gym.

The Reserves volleyball team did a great job of competing on Saturday with a home match facing Piux X. Even though the girls lost in 2 sets, the scores were close and they had a great comeback. only losing 25-22, and 25-21.
