Instrumental Music

The Lincoln Lutheran Instrumental Music programs offers students a number of ways to grow and hone their musicianship. Mr. Michael Werner leads the Instrumental Music program. High School students can participate in Marching Band, Pep Band, Jazz Band as well as Concert Band throughout the year. Meeting every-other-day for 90 minutes, students prepare pieces and work on individual musicianship. Our primary goal is to teach students self-directed learning and to transmit musicianship and personal skills that go beyond the classroom setting. We believe that teaching style, curriculum and approach must be flexible, varied and individualized. We encourage exploration and creativity in all areas of music. The utmost goal is for students to leave Lincoln Lutheran High School with a higher knowledge and understanding of what music can bring to their lives, how it can represent God, and how it can glorify God. Music is written in black and white, but music only happens when we use our hearts and minds.
