Homecoming 2010 Recap

The week of September 19-25 was an eventful Homecoming Week at Lincoln Lutheran.

On Sunday, high school students showed up to decorate the hallways in a variety of movie themes.  The faculty voted on the decorations, and bestowed the honor of best hallway to the sophomore class for their hallway, which had a "Pirates of the Caribbean" theme. Powderpuff football and volleyball games followed, and the seniors dominated those contests without even needing any help from the scorekeepers!

Monday was a day off of school, and Tuesday brought many decked out in their pajamas.  On Wednesday, students enjoyed "Color Me Crazy" day, writing fun messages all over each other's shirts, and on Thursday, students and faculty participated in Hero/Villain Day, wearing a variety of costumes representing their favorite characters.  Friday was Spirit Day, ending with the Homecoming Pep Rally, where Isaiah Bockelman and Jami Watts were crowned King and Queen.

Coming Home

We have enjoyed a very positive start to another school year at Lincoln Lutheran Middle and Senior High School. God is good! Thank you for your thoughts, prayers and support!

Last year we gathered for our 2nd Annual “Coming Home” event which celebrated the Warrior Family and History! We raised over $20,000 to directly benefit the students at Lincoln Lutheran. We celebrated past servants to our ministry, presented Dan Heibel with Lincoln Lutheran’s Founder’s Award and presented Mrs. Susan (Schroeder) Seacrest with the Lincoln Lutheran Distinguished Alumni Award.

I would like to formally invite you to participate in this year’s celebration event! We will be enjoying the atmosphere of a “tail-gate” gathering prior to our Homecoming Football Game. We will celebrate the LLJHS Classes of 1962-1965** as our special guests! We will also honor Paul and Mary Schudel with the Founder’s Award and Randy Klein (Class of 1963) with the Distinguished Alumni Award. This gathering is a great opportunity to rally around our very important ministry - so don’t miss it!
