Mrs. Mariel Olp

Mariel (Nuckols) Olp began teaching at Lincoln Lutheran in 2009. She teaches 7th and 8th grade social studies and one period of 8th grade religion. Having a Dad who was a pastor and a chaplain gave Mariel a pretty diverse childhood that took place all over the country. Most of her growing up, though, was done in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Lutheran High School in Kansas City and then attended Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska.

Ms. Katie Bockelman

Katie Bockelman (Miss B) began teaching at Lincoln Lutheran in January of 1994. In addition to teaching World History, World Geography, and 7th Grade Social Studies, she is the Student Council sponsor and an assistant coach for the high school girls soccer team. Miss Bockelman grew up in Des Moines, IA and has both an older and a younger brother. Both of her parents were also Lutheran school teachers.

Mr. Nathan Bassett

Nathan Bassett is one of the high school history and theology teachers at Lincoln Lutheran. He began teaching in 1995 and has coached the high school boys' soccer team since 1997. He attended Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska to get his bachelor’s degree in education, and then went to UNL to get his master’s degree. Other than teaching, Mr.
