Jennifer Bockerman Art Gallery Show Aug. 7, 7-10 pm at The TugBoat Gallery

LL Art Teacher, Jennifer Bockerman, will be in a two-person art show this Friday, Aug. 7, from 7-10 pm at The TugBoat Gallery. MS. Bockerman would love to see lots of LL students, teacher and parents at the show. Below is a brief description of Ms. Bockerman's contrabution to the art show. Mixed Media artist, Jennifer Bockerman, explores the iconic symbols of the school house. Examining the intersection of education and religion, Bockerman's work proposes that education has become a cultural object of worship.

Eighth Grade Poetry Reading Night

Thursday evening, Lincoln Lutheran's 8th grade English classes hosted a Poetry Recitation Night for family and friends at a local coffee shop. 8th grade writers gathered together with excitement to read their original poetry and celebrate their work during National Poetry Month.

Computer Sale

Executive Summary: 
Computer Sale: cheap technology for sale in the commons

Lincoln Lutheran will be holding it's semi-annual technology flea-market in the commons on Saturday (May 9th) from 9:00am - 1:00pm. Each year we update about 25 computers. The old computers get put into classrooms and those computers (typically from 5-8 years old) are sold at our technology flea-market. In addition to the computers, we have various other pieces of hardware and software that has been taken out of service in the course of the last 12 months.

Senior Action Project Presentation

Executive Summary: 
Senior Action Project Presentation May 3, 3pm @ LL

Senior students will present their projects covering what they have done to "take action" to address an issue within their community. Topics will include: poverty, drug abuse and addiction, mental illness and care for people with special needs among other things. Students will explain how they worked to put their faith in action.

Summer Science Camps

Students in grades 6-12 are invited to summer science camps.  These camps are 3-5 day residential camps are college and universities in Nebraska.  Look for more information at http://yns.nebraska.edu or pick up an informational flier at the front office.
