Summer Volunteer Opportunity

Students who will be 6th-7th-8th graders next school year are eligible to become a Summer Reading Volunteer at Lincoln City Libraries this summer.  Volunteers will commit to a 1-hr training session in late May followed by a 1-2 hr. assigned time per week May 25th - July 31st.  Primary duties will be to sign up younger children for the Summer Reading program, to answer children's questions, and to provide extra encouragement to the summer readers.  See Mrs. Frazier in the media center for an application and more information.

"Page One" Reading Program for 6th-8th Graders

Middle School students who are interested in reading and possibly participating in a competition (like Battle of the Books) with other schools in April are invited to participate in Page One.  Students will read from a pre-selected list of over 50 books (separate lists for 6th grade and 7th-8th grade).   Reading lists can be found online at www.pageonenebraska.com or can be picked up in the Media Center.  More information will be provided to students and parents soon.  See Mrs. Frazier in the Media Center to learn more and sign-up.
