Congrats Varsity Baseball

Congrats to our Varsity Baseball team for winning the 2017 Nebraska Capital Conference Baseball Tournament on Monday, April 17

Golf Results

We had a great week of tournaments last week!  After the quadrangular win on Tuesday we had two Invitational meets at Milford and Nebraska City, bringing home first place in both.

Milford Invitational, Wednesday April 12th

In less than ideal conditions, ran, wind and temps around 57, the Warrior golf team played very well at Milford in some sloppy conditions.  They would have shot in the low teens if we wouldn’t have had a 45 minute weather stoppage, we came out a little cold after that.  Grant Johnson finished as the medalist with a (+1) 73.

MS Track Results from Wilber

The MS Track athletes did a great job at Wilber.  The girls came home with 3 athletes getting 1st place, 4 getting 2nd, 4 getting 3rd, 4 getting 4th, 4 getting 5th and 4 getting 6th.  Our first place winners were Addi Ernstmeyer in 100M Dash, Morgan Able in 100m Hurdles and Noel Steinbauer in High jump.

HS track Results

Great job Warriors on your efforts at the Yutan Invitational meet on Tuesday, April 11. The weather was great, so many personal bests were accomplished! The girls brought home the Runner-up trophy, scoring 80 points. The boys team took 5th place with 53 points. Once again Josie Puelz broke the meet record and set another school record in the pole vault with a vault of 11' 4"!  She also took 1st place in the 100m and 300m hurdles. Both the girls and boys 1600 m relay teams took 1st place finishes, a great way to end the meet!

Neumann quadrangular results

Yesterday's match was an interesting format, 4-team match play with Wahoo High, Mount Michael, Bishop Neumann and us.  I won't go onto the rules because it would take too long but here are the results. We won both on match play and I stroke play. Scoring a 169 (Mount Michael finished second with 170) and in the match play we had 89 points to Mount Michael's 83. On to Milford today!

JV Golf Results

Without any home field advantage, the Warrior golfers squared off against our practice neighbors, Waverly at Crooked Creek Golf Club Thursday afternoon.  What a difference a day makes.  Wednesday was windy, wet and cold… Thursday was windy… but it was also sunny and warm, a great day to be out and playing golf and the scores showed.  Improving 9 strokes in a day, the Warriors were able to win the dual shooting a team 193 to Waverly’s 199.  For the second day in a row Kyle Luebbe earned medalist honors shooting the best sc

HS Boys JV Golf Results

It was not an easy day with the wind, rain and cool temps but the JV golf team did a great job in beating our cross town rivals, Lincoln Christian, 203 to 210 in a dual at Crooked Creek.  Kyle Luebbe took home medalist honors, shooting the lowest score of the day!  Tomorrow the JV hosts Waverly @ 4:00 at Crooked Creek, I’m looking for a little more of the same, another Warrior win!

Pius X Boys Golf Tourney Results

After winning this event last year with a team score of 332, one stroke better than Elkhorn South.  This year’s team finished 19 strokes better, scoring an amazing 313… second week in a row with that total on a MUCH tougher course.  However, even with the great play we came up a single stroke short and lost to a very good York team, who shot a 312 (a measly 37 strokes better than last year).  Wouldn’t be surprised if York won Class B this year, very solid team.
