MS Girls BB Win @ Seward

The Lady Warriors overcame injuries and illness to hold on for a 3 point win in Seward on Monday evening. Due to injuries, illness, and other
conflicts, the Warriors dressed just seven athletes, but were able to overcome adversity with a strong fourth quarter.  The Warriors were
led in scoring by Leah Jurgens with 11 and Charis Ovwigho with 8. The B Team improves to 6-1 with the win.

MS Boys 'B' Team BB Results from 2/5-2/6

MS ‘B’ Boys Claim 2nd at Lincoln Lutheran Tourney:  The MS boys ‘B’ team placed 2nd in the Lincoln Lutheran MS basketball tournament held last weekend.  In their first game, they earned a hard-fought 35-32 victory over Ashland-Greenwood.  In the championship game, the Warriors fell to Parkview Christian by a score of 23-32.  The Warriors were led in scoring by Carter Glenn and Josh Puelz, scoring 22 points and 16 points over the 2 games.

MS Girls BB Tops Raymond Central

The Lady Warriors overcame a tough shooting night by playing strong defense, defeating Raymond Central 17-1.  The Warriors were led in scoring by Alayna Bergt and Sydney Wallace with six and four points respectively.  The B Team improved to 5-1.

The A Team picked up where the B Team let off, holding Raymond Central to four field goals, winning in convincing fashion 47-9. The Warriors erupted for 33 second half points and were led by Leah Jurgens and Kayla Steinbauer who scored 12 and 10 points respectively.  The A Team stands at 5-3 overall.

MS Boys BB team A took first place at the MS BB tournament this weekend. 

MS Girls BB Capture B Tourney Title and 3rd Place in A

The MS Girls had a strong showing at the Lincoln Lutheran tournament last weekend.  The A team lost a heart-breaker to Bishop Neuman by two points and recovered for a commanding victory over the St. John Foxes.  The Warriors were led in scoring by Elayne Poppe and Hadley Volzke, scoring a two game total of 25 and 14 points respectively.

MS Boys Roundball Results

The 38th Annual All Lutheran Boys Roundball Tournament was hosted by Lincoln Lutheran, January 30-31, 2016. Eights schools participated in the tournament activities which included:  the two day basketball tournament, a team free throw contest, an individual 3-point shoot-out, a banquet dinner with awards presentations, and a worship service following the banquet led by Pastor Gary Denker of Faith Lutheran Church, Lincoln. The Lincoln Lutheran boys A team earned a 3rd place team finish in the tournament. They also won 1st place in the team free throw contest with five par

MS BB Results 1/28

The MS Lady Warriors split a pair of games with Fremont Bergan last night. The Warriors B outscored the Knights B team 34-17. Seven Warriors found their way into the scoring column led by Addi Ernstmeyer with 9 points and Alyana Bergt and Hadley Volzke with 6 apiece. In the A game, the Warriors overcame a double digit deficit and got as close as 4 points in the final minute of the game, but came up short yielding 26-32.  The Warriors were led in scoring by Leah Jurgens with 7 points and Hadley Volzke with 6.

Middle School Girls Basketball Finish 3rd

Congratulations to the Middle School Girls Basketball Team for their 3rd place finish at the Nebraska Lutheran Roundball Tournament this past weekend (Jan. 23-24) at Trinity Lutheran, Fremont.  The team finished 2-1 with victories over Grand Island and Battle Creek.  The Lady Warriors were just edged out by Norfolk 19-15 in the semi-final round.  The Lady Warriors won the team free-throw shooting contest.  Free-throw participants were Hadley Volzke, Addi Ernstmeyer, Lauren Stull, Lexie Kreizel and Leah Jurgens. Way to go Ladies!!!

Congrats MS Girls BB

Congratulations to the MS Girls Basketball Team earning 2 wins versus Malcolm on Thursday night.  The B team won 39-12 and the A team won 30-16. Congratulations! The A team is now 1-0. The B team is now 1-1.

7th & 8th Grade BB teams both take 1st!

Congratulations to the 8th 'A" & 7th grade ‘B’ basketball teams for winning two games and capturing 1st place at the Weeping Water tournament this past Saturday.
