Lady Warriors - 6th Grade White Win 22-12

After building a 14-6 lead against St Teresa's, the White Team's shooting touch went cold allowing the Hawks to close the margin to 14-12. The Lady Warriors then responded with an 8-0 run to finish the game and a final score of 22-12. It was fun to see all team members contribute in significant ways. 6th Grade Girls Blue Team Tallied Another Victory!

After trailing early in its game verses St. Josephs, the 6th grade blue team played some of its best basketball of the season -- the passing, ball movement, and defense was outstanding! At one point in the 3rd quarter, the Warriors led by as many as 15 points.  A scoreless 4th quarter on the part of the Warriors and some "fortunate" baskets by St Josephs made the game's final score of 26-20 look like the game was closer than it was.

6th Grade Girls Blue Team Notches a "W" versus St Peter

The 6th grade girls blue team earned its 4th win of the season with a 25-15 victory over St Peter Catholic.  The young lady Warriors led most of this game but did not "seal the deal" until the closing minutes of the 4th quarter.  All eight players made positive contributions in this contest; it was a fine team victory.  Coach Ziems would like to laud Bailey Paxton for some nice rebounds and Sara Morris for her scrappiness.

6th Gr. Girls Blue Team Results - Tues, Feb. 28

The 6th grade girls blue team battled hard against a talented North American Martrys Burgundy squad but lost the game 7-22.  The girls played great defense in this game.  The failure to score in the halfcourt offense combined with giving too many 2nd chance points to the opponent proved to by the biggest difference in this contest.  Coach Ziems would like to compliment Ella Wallace for having her best game of the season...way to go, Ella!

6th Grade Girls White Triumphs over St. Josephs

After playing to a 12-12 tie at the half, the 6th grade girls white team put the defensive squeeze on their opponents from St Joseph's Catholic to post a 22-14 victory. This was an outstanding team effort...all 9 players contributed very positively to the squad's success. Worthy of particular notice was the defensive play of Haleigh Hoefs in defending St Joe's ace player, the outstanding post play of Erin Maier and Paige Ravenscroft, and Elizabeth Moore and Hannah Fitzsimmons each scoring big buckets.
